ITINERARY

DAY 01 MILAN

Arrival at Milan International Airport, reception and transfer. If your flight arrival time allows it, in the late afternoon you will meet your escorted guide at the hotel reception. In your free time we suggest you to discover the beauty of the capital of Lombardy, admiring the grandeur of its buildings and elegant cafes such as: the Zucca, the Taveggia or the Cova. Dinner and overnight.

DAY 02 MILAN – VERONA – VENICE

Panoramic tour with local guide, where we will visit the highlights of the city: Castello Sforzesco, Sempione Park, Via Dante, Piazza Cordusio, Vittorio Emmanuele Gallery, Piazza della Scala, Piazza del Duomo, the masterpiece of Italian Gothic architecture, an icon of the city and the country. Departure to Verona, internationally known for being the place where Shakespeare set the dramatic story of Romeo and Juliet. Free time or, if you wish, you can take a guided tour to discover the secrets of this beautiful city. We continue our tour of the Veneto region and arrive at the hotel in the Venice area and have dinner. After dinner you can take an optional excursion: boat trip on the Grand Canal of Venice to enjoy a beautiful panoramic view of the illuminated buildings at night and time to stroll around St. Mark’s Square and enjoy a spritz (typical Venetian drink). Overnight stay.

DAY 03 VENICE

Breakfast. Panoramic boat trip through the Venetian Lagoon where the most famous islands of the archipelago are located, San Andreas, the Lido or Murano among others, to arrive, sailing, to the heart of Venice, where we admire the dome of Santa Maria della Salute, the majestic exterior of the Doge’s Palace and the Piazzeta, access to St. Mark’s Square and the rest of the day free to stroll around this unique city built on 118 islets. If you wish, you can take an optional excursion which includes a romantic gondola ride along the Venetian canals and a walk with our local guide through the so-called “Hidden Venice”, discovering the most picturesque corners of this city. Overnight stay.

DAY 04 VENICE – FLORENCE

Breakfast and departure to the Tuscan capital, crossing beautiful mountainous landscapes. Arrival in Florence and panoramic tour with a local guide. During our walk, we will visit some of the masterpieces of European art such as the Duomo of Santa Maria del Fiore (outside), with its wonderful dome by Brunelleschi, which served as a model for Michelangelo to create the dome of St. Peter’s in the Vatican, the bell tower, built by Giotto, the Baptistery, where we find the famous Gates of Paradise by Ghiberti, the Ponte Vecchio, the Signoria Square with the Palazzo Vecchio and its statues and fountains of great artistic richness. Lunch. Rest of the day at leisure to visit some of the city’s markets, or if you wish you can make an optional visit to the Florentine museums, visiting the Medici Chapels and the Accademia Gallery, which houses one of the most famous works of the master Michelangelo and which is also the symbol of the city: the “David”. Overnight stay.

DAY 05 FLORENCE

Breakfast. Free day to continue enjoying Florence. Or if you wish you can take an optional excursion to enjoy a wonderful Tuscan day. We start our experience in Lucca, the birthplace of the famous composer Giacomo Puccini and the refuge of Dante during his exile. Visit with a local guide of the so-called “City of 100 towers and 100 churches”, one of the few Italian cities that have kept intact alsplendorieval splendour, highlighting the city walls, the Duomo of San Martino, the fabulous Renaissance palaces and secluded streets full of traditional shops. Departure to Pisa, free time to visit the wonderful Piazza dei Miracoli. An impressive monumental ensemble that is the testimony of its splendid past as a maritime power, where you will find: the Baptistery, and the Cathedral and the famous Leaning Tower, a must to get one of the most sought-after photographs in Italy. Return to Florence and stop at Piazzale Michelangelo, from where we will have the best views of the city. Free time at leisure. Accommodation

DAY 06 FLORENCE – SAN GIMIGNANO – SIENA – ROME

Breakfast. Continuation to San Gimignano, known especially for its 14 surviving medieval towers, which were built together with 58 others in a sort of “competition” in which the most influential families tried to demonstrate their power and wealth. Free time at leisure. Continuation to Siena. The city lived its maximum splendor in the 13th century. XIII century, when it had the most flourishing banking in Italy. We will visit the exterior of its Cathedral, its medieval historical center and the Piazza del Campo with its original fan shape, where the Gothic Town Hall Palace is located. Departure to Rome, arrival in the Italian capital, the Eternal City. Transfer to the hotel and if you wish you can do an optional: Rome by night to visit the great tourist icons such as Campo di Fiori, where you can taste a delicious pizza, Piazza Navona, Piazza del Pantheon and the filmographic Trevi Fountain. Overnight stay.

DAY 07 ROME

Breakfast. We start the day with the opportunity to make an optional guided tour of the Vatican Museums and St. Peter’s Basilica, surely one of the reasons for your trip because you can enjoy two of the greatest works of universal art: The Sistine Chapel and the Basilica where the famous Pieta by Michelangelo is located, as well as visiting one of the most important museums in the world. Afterwards, panoramic tour with local guide to know the history and the main buildings of the Eternal City. Passing by: the Tiber River, Castel Sant’Angelo, Tiber Island, and Circus Maximus with the view of the Palatine Hill, Cestia Pyramid, Aurelian Wall, Baths of Caracalla, Celio Hill, St. John Lateran, Santa Maria Maggiore, and Republic Square etc…. We will end in the famous Trastevere district, where we will have free time for lunch. Rest of the day at leisure, if you wish, you can take an optional excursion: Imperial Rome, accompanied by our local guide we will visit the interior of the Colosseum, the great amphitheater built in the 1st century, with a capacity for 65,000 spectators, it is a World Heritage Site. The Colosseum, a World Heritage Site and one of the Wonders of the World, is completed with a walk along the Via dei Fori Imperiali, ending in what is now the symbol of Rome as the capital of unified Italy, Piazza Venezia, the nerve center of the city and where the famous “Altar of the Fatherland” is located. DAY 08 ROME

Breakfast. Free day to continue exploring this marvelous city. If you wish, you can take an optional excursion to Campania, visiting Pompeii and the magnificent archaeological remains of this Roman city stopped in time by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD. Brief panoramic tour of Naples, capital of the region, whose historic center has been declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO and we will sail to the island of Capri, meeting point of the high society, with Marina Grande, the cliffs, the grottoes, etc. Overnight stay.

DAY 09 ROME

Breakfast and at the scheduled time transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of our services.
