ITINERARY
DAY 01 HELSINKI
Arrival in the Finnish capital, welcome and transfer to the hotel. Helsinki, the sustainable capital of Finland, is an active coastal city of beautiful islands and large green urban areas. Helsinki marches to a wonderful rhythm and combines gastronomy, design, architecture and sauna. Those responsible for its Nordic culture are its own inhabitants. Lodging.
DAY 02 HELSINKI – CRUISE – STOCKHOLM
Breakfast and panoramic tour of the capital of Finland, also known as “the White City of the North”. During the visit we will pass by the Orthodox Church of the Trinity, a vestige of Russian rule, the Senate Square, the Temppeliaukio Kirkko, a circular Lutheran Church carved into the rock whose dome is shaped like a giant spiral of copper wires. Afternoon free for personal activities. At 3:00 p.m. transfer to the port to board the Silja Line cruise ship to Stockholm. The ship has Wi-Fi in common areas, different types of restaurants and cafes, discos, and nightclubs with live entertainment shows and stores. During the crossing, it is worth mentioning the beautiful landscape of islets at the exit of the port of Helsinki and the beautiful Swedish archipelago of more than 24,000 islands. DAY 03 STOCKHOLM
Buffet breakfast on board and disembarkation around 9:45 am. Upon arrival in Stockholm, we will make a panoramic visit to the city. The Swedish capital is known worldwide as “the Queen of the Waters” and is located on 14 wonderful islands linked together by bridges. The oldest island, and where the old city is located: Gamla Stan, is the place that houses most of the most emblematic buildings and the most important architectural structures of the city. Lodging.
DAY 04 STOCKHOLM
Breakfast and free day during which you can optionally visit the Vasa Museum and Stockholm City Hall (not included). Lodging.
DAY 05 STOCKHOLM – LILLEHAMMER
Breakfast and departure to Norway. We will travel through the beautiful Swedish grain fields and lakes to reach the impressive landscapes of forests and mountains in Norway. We will pass through towns like Hamar where on the shores of Lake Mjosa is the building in the shape of an inverted Viking ship, which hosted the ice skating events during the Winter Olympics in 1994. Arrival at the hotel and accommodation in Lillehammer, home of the Olympic Games as well as one of the most famous winter sports centers in the country. Overnight stay.
DAY 06 LILLEHAMMER – BERGEN
Breakfast and early departure to Fagernes, a small town where we will make a brief stop and then continue touring the beautiful scenery through forests to reach the medieval church of Borgund, which is one of the 30 best preserved and is inscribed on the list of Unesco Heritage. Free time to take pictures of this interesting place, then we continue our scheduled route crossing the Laerdal tunnel, which is the longest in the world by road with 25 km. Arriving in Flam we will take a ferry to sail and visit the longest and deepest fjord in the country, the Sognefjord. Disembarkation and continuation by bus to Bergen. Overnight in Bergen.
DAY 07 BERGEN – LOFTHUS
Breakfast and city tour. The city of Bergen is one of the oldest cities in Norway and is located on a promontory on the shores of the North Sea. The most interesting sights are the Fortress, the Hakonshallen, the Bryggen (16th-century harbor facilities), and the romantic style Mary’s Church. Then departure to Ullensvang Hotel in the village of Lofthus, located in the heart of the breathtaking scenery of the Hardanger Fjord. The famous composer Edvard Grieg was a regular guest of the hotel for many years and found inspiration for his well-known and immortal musical works. Many Scandinavian celebrities and royal families still visit the hotel to enjoy the panoramic view of the majestic Folgefonna glacier, which rises above the sparkling waters of the blue fjord. Dinner and overnight.
DAY 08 LOFTHUS – OSLO
Breakfast. During today’s stage, we will enjoy the contrasts that the landscape offers us, starting the route by one of the most beautiful scenic roads. We will cross the Hardanger National Park with its majestic fjords, surrounded by forests and mountains to cross the plateau of Hardangervidda where we will make a stop to take pictures. Continuation to Oslo and upon arrival we will have a panoramic visit of the capital of Norway. We will visit the Vigeland Park, with its famous sculptures representing the cycle of human life and the great monolith with its 212 intertwined bodies. We will pass by the Opera House, the City Hall, and the harbor, the Royal Palace, the Parliament, and the Akerhus Fortress. Overnight stay.
DAY 09 OSLO
Breakfast and free morning until departure to the port or optional excursion to the Maritime Museums located in Bygdoy. We will visit the Viking Museum and later the Fram Museum (not included). Return to Oslo and free time. At 14:30h departure to the port to board the DFDS cruise ship to sail the North Sea to Copenhagen. Accommodation in outside cabins with windows. Buffet dinner on board.
DAY 10 COPENHAGEN
Breakfast and arrival in Copenhagen at 09. 45 hrs. Disembarkation and panoramic tour of the city, visiting its main monuments and historical sites such as the Town Hall Square, Christiansborg Palace (current seat of Parliament), the Fountain of the Goddess Gefion, Nyhavn harbor with its picturesque and colorful houses of the seventeenth century, and of course, the emblem of the city, the famous Little Mermaid. Optionally, we can visit the majestic Royal Castle of Frederiksborg, in the north of Zealand. Overnight stay.
DAY 11 COPENHAGEN
Breakfast and free day. Accommodation.
DAY 12 COPENHAGEN
Breakfast and transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of services.
