ITINERARY

DAY 01 MADRID

Departure by transatlantic flight to Madrid. Overnight on board.

DAY 02 MADRID

Arrival at Adolfo Suárez Madrid – Barajas International Airport. Reception and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.

DAY 03 MADRID

Breakfast and city tour where you will see the main avenues, squares and monuments. You will discover places such as Plaza España, Gran Vía, the Cibeles Fountain, Puerta de Alcalá, the famous bullring of Las Ventas, etc. Then, continuing through the modern area, you will finish in the Madrid de los Austrias. Enchanting Plaza Mayor and Plaza de Oriente will give a splendid end to this tour of the capital of Spain. Afternoon free to enjoy an optional excursion. Overnight stay.

– Optional afternoon excursion to the imperial city of Toledo, where we will appreciate the legacy of the three cultures: Arab, Jewish and Christian, which knew how to live together in harmony.

DAY 04 MADRID – BORDEAUX

Breakfast and departure early in the morning. Passing through the vicinity of the city of Burgos, to reach the border with France and continue to Bordeaux, capital of the region of New Aquitaine. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay.

DAY 05 BORDEAUX – BLOIS – PARIS

Breakfast and then departure to the “City of Light”, making a stop in Blois on the way. We will enjoy the charm of one of the most impressive towns that make up the Loire Valley Region, known for its beauty and its castles. The castle of Blois, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is considered one of the most important in the region. After free time we will continue to Paris. Arrival and accommodation.

– Optional excursion to see Paris by night. Unique visit in the world for the impressive illumination that accompanies its avenues, squares and monuments. The illumination of the City Hall, the Invalides, the Arc de Triomphe, the Opera and the Eiffel Tower, among others, is a real spectacle.

DAY 06 PARIS

Breakfast. Departure for a tour of the “City of Love” passing by the Avenue des Champs Elysées, the Place de la Concorde, the Arc de Triomphe, the National Assembly, the Opera, the Louvre Museum, the Invalides, the Champ de Mars, the Eiffel Tower, etc. Afternoon at leisure or possibility of an optional excursion. Overnight stay.

– Optional afternoon excursion for a romantic cruise on the Seine River. You will continue to Montmartre, an emblematic corner of Paris, also known as the “Painters’ Quarter” because it is the birthplace of the Impressionists. Its small and steep alleys form a network of streets that houses everything from the oldest cabarets to the marvelous Basilica of the Sacré Coeur de Jésus. You will then take a stroll through the famous Latin Quarter, enjoying its small alleyways dotted with friendly restaurants and typical Parisian cafés. This neighborhood owes its name to medieval times, when the inhabitants of the area were students who used Latin to communicate. You will also have a spectacular view of the Notre Dame Cathedral, where we will understand why it is so important worldwide by learning about its past and projecting into the future. The guide will explain what has happened recently and the possibilities that lie ahead for what may be the greatest restoration work of the destinations

– Optional evening excursion to the iconic spectacle of the Lido.

DAY 07 PARIS

Breakfast. Free day for an optional excursion. Overnight stay.

– Optional excursion to the Palace of Versailles and its gardens. We will have an inside visit of the rooms (with preferential entrance), where the guide will tell us about the monarchic life of the place. We will also discover the spectacular Palace Gardens, return to Paris.

DAY 08 PARIS – LUCERNE – ZURICH

Breakfast. Early in the morning departure to the south-east to reach the Swiss border. We will continue to Lucerne, considered the most touristic place in the country. The city lies on the shores of Lake Lucerne and the river Reuss, with its famous Chapel Bridge. We will enjoy some free time in this charming alpine village. Later you will continue to Zurich. Overnight stay.

DAY 09 ZURICH – VERONA – VENICE

Breakfast and departure to the Italian border. Passing through the vicinity of Milan, we will reach the romantic and medieval city of Verona, immortalized by the story of Romeo and Juliet. Free time for a stroll and a visit to Juliet’s House. Later continuation to Venice. Arrival and accommodation.

– Optional city tour.

DAY 10 VENICE – FLORENCE

Breakfast. We will be amazed by the city of 118 islands and its more than 400 bridges, whose characteristics make it unique and exclusive. You will visit the Bridge of Sighs and St. Mark’s Square, with its incomparable scenery where the Basilica, an architectural jewel, stands out. Free time at leisure. Later departure to the motorway to cross the Apennines and reach the city of Florence. Overnight stay.

– Optional excursion by gondola with musical serenade.

 

DAY 11 FLORENCE – ROME

Breakfast and walking tour of this unique city where art will surprise you at every step. We will walk through St. Mark’s Square, passing in front of the Academia Gallery and arriving at the Straw Market. We will contemplate the combination of beautiful marbles on the façade of the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore and its unmistakable Giotto’s Bell Tower. We will also enjoy the Baptistery and its famous Gates of Paradise destination to take a look at the famous Ponte Vecchio and arrive at the Santa Croce Square to admire the Franciscan Basilica of the same name. Afterwards, you will continue to Rome. Arrival and accommodation.

– Optional evening excursion to Baroque Rome. We will arrive by bus to the 3rd century Aurelian Wall to start a walking tour to the Trevi Fountain. We will discover the Pantheon of Agrippa and the historic Piazza Navona, where you will have free time for dinner.

DAY 12 ROME

Breakfast. We will visit the city. We will admire the unmistakable figure of the Flavian Amphitheatre, better known as “The Colosseum”. We will also pass by the Circus Maximus and the Patriarchal Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore. Then, crossing the river Tiber, we will arrive at the Vatican. Free afternoon. Overnight stay.

– Optional morning excursion to the destination of the world with only 44 hectares, but with an immeasurable universal cultural heritage. This visit will take us through the grandeur of the Vatican Museums (with preferential entrance) until we reach the Sistine Chapel. With immense emotion, you will admire the two moments of Michelangelo: the Vault (aged 33) and the Last Judgement (aged 60). And respecting the rigorous silence, you will simply let yourself be carried away. You will continue on to St. Peter’s Basilica, where only when you are inside will you understand its grandeur. You will be greeted by Michelangelo, in this case as sculptor, with the Pietà. Not absent will be the great master Bernini and his famous Baldachin at the High Altar, protected by Michelangelo’s greatest work, now as an architect, the enormous Dome of the Basilica.

DAY 13 ROME

Breakfast. Free day. Overnight.

– Optional full-day excursion with lunch included to Pompeii and Capri. Departure to Pompeii, where we will be offered a coffee before visiting the city buried after the eruption of Vesuvius. We will continue to the port of Naples to embark on the island of Capri. Upon arrival, a private boat will be waiting for us to sail around part of the island. We will disembark in Marina Grande to go up to Ana Capri, the center of worldly life. Free time until the time to return to the port to embark for Naples and return to Rome.

DAY 14 ROME – PISA – NIZA

Breakfast and departure to Pisa. This city is always identified by its famous Leaning Tower, accompanied by the beautiful architectural ensemble composed by the Cathedral and Baptistery. After free time you will continue your journey, passing through Genoa, along the Italian Riviera to reach the French border and shortly after Nice, capital of the Côte d’Azur. Overnight stay.

– Optional evening excursion to the world-famous Principality of Monaco, where elegance, architecture, and illumination come together to form a unique setting. Free time to visit the Casino of Monte Carlo.

DAY 15 NICE – BARCELONA

Breakfast and departure to Spain through the regions of Provence, the Alps, the Côte d’Azur, and Occitania, arriving at the border. On arrival in Barcelona, you will have a brief visit to the city to see the Sagrada Familia, Plaza Cataluña, the Columbus Monument, Plaza de España, etc. Overnight stay.

DAY 16 BARCELONA – ZARAGOZA – MADRID

Breakfast and departure to Zaragoza, where you will make a brief stop to admire the oldest Marian Temple in Christianity: the Basilica of Nuestra Señora del Pilar, which forms part of the enormous square of the same name. Continue to Madrid. Arrival and accommodation.

DAY 17 RETURN
