DAY 01 PARIS
Arrival in Paris. Transfer to the hotel. Paris, the capital of France, is a major European city and a world center of art, fashion, gastronomy and culture. Its 19th century cityscape is crisscrossed by wide boulevards and the Seine River. Apart from these landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and the 12th century Gothic cathedral of Notre Dame, the city is famous for its café culture and designer fashion boutiques along the Rue du Faubourg Saint-Honoré. Overnight.
DAY 02 PARIS
Breakfast. In the morning, panoramic tour of the “City of Light”, including the Avenue des Champs Elysées, Arc de Triomphe, Eiffel Tower, Ile de la Cité, etc. Rest of the day at leisure for an optional excursion to the Latin Quarter, Montmartre with the Cathedral and/or to attend the famous Lido show. Overnight stay.
DAY 03 PARIS
Breakfast. Free day to continue discovering this fascinating city, or to take the optional excursion to the Palace of Versailles. Overnight stay.
DAY 04 PARIS – HEIDELBERG
Breakfast and departure through the regions of Champagne and Les Ardennes to the German border, to reach Heidelberg, ancient University City. Free time to stroll around the Old Town. Arrival at the hotel and accommodation.
DAY 05 HEIDELBERG – ROMANTIC ROUTE – MUNICH
Breakfast. Departure to Rotenburg. Free time to admire this beautiful medieval city that preserves its original walls, towers, and gates, contemplate its typical streets and the old Germanic architecture. Continuation through the Romantic Road contemplating its beautiful landscapes to reach Munich, capital of the State of Bavaria, and important economic and university center of Germany. Possibility of an optional visit to see the most emblematic places of the city. Overnight stay.
DAY 06 MÚNICH – INNSBRUCK – VERONA – VENICE
Breakfast. Departure to the Austrian border between incomparable alpine landscapes to reach Innsbruck, capital of Tyrol. Free time. Continue along the motorway through the impressive Brenner Pass, with one of the highest bridges in Europe “Europabrücke” towards Italy to reach Verona, a city immortalized by William Shakespeare in his play “Romeo and Juliet”. Continuation of the journey to Venice. Overnight stay.
DAY 07 VENICE – FLORENCE
Breakfast. Walking tour of the city of the 118 islands, visiting St. Mark’s Square, Doge’s Palace, Bridge of Sighs, etc. Departure from Venice to Florence. Overnight in Florence.
DAY 08 FLORENCE – ROME
Breakfast. In the morning visit of the city, cradle of the Renaissance and of the Italian language. We will stroll through this city brimming with art, history, and culture, admiring the Cathedral of Santa Maria dei Fiori with its beautiful Campanile and the Baptistery decorated with the famous Gates of Paradise, where famous people such as Michelangelo and Dante Alighieri passed through. Continuation to Rome. Overnight stay. Possibility of an optional night tour of Baroque Rome.
DAY 09 ROME
Breakfast. In the morning we will take a panoramic tour of the city that includes many points of interest such as the Republic Square, the Cathedral of Rome, and the Archaeological Rome with the Baths of Caracalla, the Circus Maximus, the Colosseum, and the Forums. We will also visit Piazza Venezia, the nerve center of the city, Castel Sant’Angelo, and the exterior of St. Peter’s Square and Basilica (depending on religious ceremonies). Afterward, optional excursion with visits to the interiors of the Vatican Museums, Sistine Chapel, and St. Peter’s Basilica. In the afternoon possibility to discover the magical Colosseum with our optional excursion. Even with the explanation of the guide, the traveler will not believe the architectural ingenuity of this monument.
DAY 10 ROME
Lodging and breakfast. Free day for personal activities. Optional excursion to Naples, a city located next to the Vesuvius Volcano that buried the city of Pompeii in 79 A.D., and visit the Isle of Capri whose natural beauty captivated the Roman emperors.
DAY 11 ROME
Breakfast. Free day, last day in the capital to visit the remaining sights. If we think we have seen everything try to visit the original architecture of the Coppedè district, the orange garden, the fountain of the turtles in the Jewish quarter, the works of art inside the Church of Santa Cecilia or Santa Maria della Pace, discover the secret hidden in the priory of the Knights of the Order of Malta, feel like a Roman on the Via del Pellegrino, and if you are not afraid of anything visit the Crypt of the Capuchin friars under the church of St. Mary Immaculate. M.ª Immaculate.
DAY 12 ROME – TEL AVIV
Breakfast. Transfer to Rome airport by our Travel DMC correspondent to take the flight to Tel Aviv. Arrival in Tel Aviv and transfer to the hotel. Overnight stay.
DAY 13 MASADA – DEAD SEA
Buffet breakfast. Free day. Optional excursion. Our day begins at Masada, an exciting place characterized as the last Jewish refuge in the revolution against the Romans. We will ascend by cable car to contemplate all the desert views of the region, and we will also encounter the fortress of Masada, the ruins of the Zealots and the excavations of the construction of Herod’s Palace. As we descend we will be at the lowest place in the world, the Dead Sea, at less than 400 m above sea level. We will leave free time for optional bathing in these mineral waters (weather permitting). Return to Jerusalem and overnight.
DAY 14 TEL AVIV – CAESAREA – HAIFA – ACRE – GALILEE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for a short city tour of Tel Aviv-Jaffa. Continue along the coastal road to Caesarea, where you will visit the Roman Theater. Continue to Haifa, Stella Maris Shrine, and the Persian Gardens. Panoramic view of the city from Mount Carmel. Continue to Acre, fortified city of the Crusaders, where you will visit the medieval fortifications. Continue to the Galilee. Overnight at the hotel.
DAY 15 GALILEE – TIBERIAS – NAZARETH – GALILEE
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure to the Mount of Beatitudes, scene of the Sermon on the Mount. Visit of Tabgha, site of the Multiplication of the Loaves and Fishes. Capernaum, Ancient Synagogue and St. Peter’s House. Continue along the Sea of Galilee to Tiberias. In the afternoon, via Cana of Galilee to Nazareth. Visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and Joseph’s Carpentry. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.
DAY 16 GALILEE – SAFED – YARDENIT – MOUNT TABOR – JERUSALEM
Depart for Safed to visit its charming narrow streets and synagogues. Safed is the city of Kabbalah, the mystical side of Judaism. Continuation to Yardenit, traditional place of baptism on the Jordan River. In the afternoon, arrival at Mount Tabor to visit the Basilica of the Transfiguration. Drive to Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 17 JERUSALEM – MODERN CITY – MOUNT OF OLIVES – JERUSALEM
Buffet breakfast. Departure to the Mount of Olives for a magnificent panoramic view of the city. Visit the Garden of Gethsemane and the Basilica of the Agony. Continuation to the modern part of the city to visit the Shrine of the Book at the Israel Museum where the Dead Sea Scrolls and the model of Herodian Jerusalem are located. Visits to Yad Vashem, Holocaust memorial museum and the Ein Karem neighborhood, where the churches of St. John the Baptist and the Visitation are located. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 18 JERUSALEM – WALLED CITY – BETHLEHEM – JERUSALEM
Buffet breakfast. Departure to the old city of Jerusalem to visit the Wailing Wall, the Via Dolorosa and the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. Continuation to Mount Zion where the Tomb of King David, the Cenacle and the Abbey of the Dormition are located. In the afternoon, visit the Basilica and Grotto of the Nativity and the Shepherds’ Field in Bethlehem. Overnight at Hotel.
